About this event
Don't miss out on this opportunity to practice mindfulness and meditation with local animal activists. Join us on Saturday, July 8th, at 9:00 Pacific. Let's come together to cultivate compassion and lovingkindness for ourselves and all sentient beings. Anyone who cares about animals is welcome to join us.
Bob Isaacson is the President and Co-Founder of Dharma Voices for Animals and teaches the Dharma (the Buddha’s teachings), leads two Sanghas (ongoing groups of practitioners), and leads day-long and weekend retreats in the San Diego area, having been trained in Spirit Rock Meditation Center’s Community Dharma Leader Program.
Together we will practice mindfulness; knowing what our experience is in the present moment.
Metta (Lovingkindness) and compassion meditation for ourselves and the animals who suffer terribly on the way to the plates of those who eat them.
Vipassana Meditation is the primary meditation technique taught by the Buddha involves paying attention to present moment experiences that lead to clarity, relaxation, and coming into harmony with our experiences.
Please bring a cushion, yoga mat or something comfortable to sit on. Wear comfortable, weather appropriate clothes and bring a reusable water bottle. We will post the exact location in the Discussion tab before the event.
We are looking forward to having you join us. See you there!
