About this event
Join the Animal Law Program for a lunchtime advocacy talk with Brave New Life Project!
Brave New Life Project supports workers transitioning out of the animal agriculture industry into careers that are more empowering, sustainable, and prosperous. They support workers through free, personalized employment assistance and connections to vital community resources. By fostering sustainable alternatives, they aim to build a better future for individuals. Jessi Geist, the founder of Brave New Life Project, has been working in the social work field for 11 years. She became an activist in 2017 and started Brave New Life Project in 2020. Jessi will speak about the normalized abuse of and lack of protection for slaughterhouse workers.
