Come sit with DVA Board member Venerable Bhante Sathi for DVA's Mindfulness & Meditation Sangha for Animal Activists this Sunday, September 24, from 9 to 10 a.m. Pacific. You do not need to be an activist to attend. Anyone interested in the welfare of animals is welcome to join us.
Together, we will practice mindfulness, knowing what our experience is in the present moment.
Metta (Lovingkindness) and compassion meditation for ourselves and the animals who suffer terribly on the way to the plates of those who eat them.
Vipassana Meditation is the primary meditation technique taught by the Buddha that involves paying attention to present-moment experiences that lead to clarity, relaxation, and coming into harmony with our experiences.
Bhante Sathi is a DVA Board member and Sri Lankan-American monk who teaches Buddhist monastics worldwide.
